. SUMMERS OUT .
Whilst i’m definitely embracing my cosy coats and ankle boots more now Autumn is settling in, I still have summer in the back of my mind. I still have 2 weeks of summer holiday’s to come, one next week in fact, and so i’m still clinging on to my summer clothes like lost puppies! Finding any way possible to style them for this slightly nippier weather.
One of my favourite all year round items of clothing has to be denim cut offs. They look fab in summer with a loose cami and casual flip flops and equally look great in winter with ankle boots and thick black tights. For the Summer – Autumn transition, i’ve been merging the two looks together to create a September / October suitable outfit.
. Levis Denim Cut Offs £35 Urban Outfitters . Zara Monochrome Knitted Jumper . H&M Sandals .
The easiest way to cosy up a pair of denim cut offs for this weather has to be adding a cosy knitted jumper. Even better a 3/4 length Autumn knitted jumper which won’t heat you up too much. This monochrome knitted jumper is a little number i picked up from Zara a few months back and is a jumper that is just made for Autumn. It’s fab worn with shorts / skirts to keep a summer vibe going, but equally looks great with skinny jeans and ankle boots.
I wore this outfit a few weeks back when spending the weekend in Islington and visiting Columbia Road Market to pick up lots of flowers – you may remember this post from my trip. It’s so comfy and easy going it has to be a favourite transitional look of mine.
What are your go to garments for transitioning your wardrobe from Summer through to Autumn? Are you a fan of this look?

You look great! I am a fan of this outfit, indeed. I am in Alanya (Turkey) until November, so my big transitioning from Summer to Autumn begins only at that time:) But then it will be quite tough adjusting to the Danish temperatures… (I am a Dane;)) In November it is terrible weather there, a lot like in the UK;)
