Outfit

Paint The Town … Bright.

May 16, 2013

The Sun started shining again today and so in the spirit of sunshine induced endorphins I thought i’d share an equally endorphin inducing outfit. I really do find colours and prints make me feel perkier, the brighter and more colourful my outfit, the more happy and content I feel. This is no real news, after all there are tons of psychological studies that prove this, but I really do recommend opting for a little colour in your outfit when you’re in need of a mood booster.
This outfit, as you can see, is extremely colourful. Garish some may say. But actually I love it. My print trousers from Uniqlo are statement enough in their own right, but I decided to push the boat out here and add a colourful knitted jumper too. Just to take it to a whole other level. In my opinion it actually works and I have to say, having worn this outfit it certainly did lift my mood.

. Uniqlo Printed Trousers . Zara Mint Knit Jumper . H&M Marni Heels .
. Robindra Unsworth Stacking rings . Topshop Fedora .
I’m a real fan of my Uniqlo trousers, they’re such a perfect fit, really comfy and a total bargain too. They’re cotton based and so aren’t clingy or see through. They’re 3/4 length cut which makes them a perfect spring or summer item. I’ve worn these super casually, but I’ll also wear them to work when it’s warm enough too. Adding a simple tank top and a blazer into the mix to smarten them up a little.
For this look though I opted for my mint green Zara jumper which I picked up last year (or the year before). I love this number, it keeps you warm but is suitably spring like too. The 3/4 length sleeves are a bonus too as it gives you a chance to add lots of fab jewellery and rings without having them hidden away. In this outfit i’ve opted for my ‘staple’ every day jewellery which I always wear. My Michael Kors Watch, 2 sentimental rings (opal one and pearl one), plus my new stacking rings from So Charming, and finally my Links of london bracelet & chunky H&M bangle.

What do you think of this look? Are you a fan of incorporating bright colours and prints in your outfits?
