RECENTLY I’VE BEEN II

May 5, 2013

. HAUL PART II .

Following up from yesterdays ‘beauty haul’, todays post covers a few lifestyle treats i’ve gifted to myself (plus been treated too), including a new read, a special coffee mug and super excitingly some very luxury skincare lotion from Mitqo. Plus some amazing new dresses … of course.
First up I’ll talk about my new book and my new coffee mug. Now I love a good coffee, I tend to treat myself to one every morning before work as I find standard instant granules just don’t do the job, I need a proper ground coffee concoction. After a friend at work showed me her special travel coffee mug which actually was a secret cafetiere a little while ago, I new I needed to get myself involved. After strolling around Bath last weekend I found the perfect travel mug from Bodum (which Jase assured me was a super cool brand) and having realised that this travel mug included the cafetiere mechanic, I decided to treat myself.
Effectively why this travel mug is special is that it has a built in filter, so in the morning you can simply add your ground coffee (of your choice), add hot water, and then as you’re walking to work (or at work), simply push the cafetiere down and you then have a fully functioning mug of coffee. No pouring into a cup required … simply drink away. Bloody genius. I got this one for £14.99 from Amazon.Next my new book, I love reading and use a good book as escapism on my journey to and from work. I’ve just finished reading Marian Keyes new book – The Mystery Of Mercy Close, and i’m about to start reading a book called Gone Girl which my friend Lizzie bought me for my birthday (meant to be absoutely amazing) but I decided to buy myself the new Jill Mansell book  to come next in line. Whilst I do mix my chic lit reading with more heavy going books covering more serious issues – e.g. Jodi Picoult is a real fave of mine, I do find there’s always a time for a good, easy, funny, lovely chic lit and Jill Mansell and Marian Keyes are real fave authors of mine for this style of book.

. MitoQ AntiAgeing Cream £115 c/o .

A rather special and exciting part of my haul is this MitoQ anti-aging moisturiser. Now you may think ‘holla girl, you’re only 25’, but please be assured that wrinkles are actually, depressingly a huge issue of mine. I say wrinkles, but they’re more crevasses (as my dad calls them), and less from ageing, but more from having a seriously over expressive face (forehead creases ahoy). I’m not into surgery at all, but I do often think about how Botox might help. Anyway, I was recently asked if i’d like to try MitoQ’s special ant-ageing products and I literally jumped a the opportunity. The great thing about this moisturiser is that it can be used alongside my normal routine, so there’s no major changes required to see results, simply an additional part of my routine (i’m opting to add this on to my bedtime moisturising).

The product is famous for it’s celular repair technology and i’ve been told you can see results in a matter of weeks – exciting. I’m starting to use this now, and so in a few weeks, maybe a month or so, I’ll feature a full review in my beauty section to let you know what I think :)

. Sugarhill Boutique Navajo Dress £47 & Tribal Playsuit £47 c/o .
And Finally (I promise) are some new, gorgeous, items from Sugarhill Boutique. Now if you haven’t realised already I am a HUGE fan of the brand, I probably have about 8+ items in my wardrobe including dresses, playsuits and shorts etc. I am a huge fan of their prints and the designs and cuts of the clothes really suit my style and shape. It’s a constant winner for me. Even my sister buys be items for birthdays etc as I love it so much. Anyway, this is just a super quick glimpse of two fabulous new items I’ve added to my wardrobe for the spring collection. The prints are spot on, the designs are stunning and I just can’t wait to wear them. I’ve also got my eye on another coral number with elephant prints on too (the Ellie Dress) … ahhh i just love sugarhill. These beauts will be in outfit posts soon as no doubt they’re going to become my staple live in dresses this summer.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice that I wore the Tribal playsuit yesterday. If you don’t already follow me, you can here.

So after a 2 day haul, that’s it. What do you think? Have you enjoyed these kind of posts? Let me know your thoughts?

Hope you enjoy Gone Girl, I’m starting Mercy Close v soon, just 2 chapters of Lone Wolf (Picoult, you’ve read that haven’t you?) left! And I’ve not read any by Jane Mansell, will look out for that one! Which is your favourite by her babe? (tweet me!) xx
