When Things Just Come Together

So as you will know by now, I spent the latter part of last week in Nice, and with the sun on our side and some exploration to be done, this is the outfit I spent the majority of my trip in. It made the perfect day time look for warm weather (but not stonkingly hot), and a practical outfit too given the walking that was to be done.

You’ll all have gathered by now that these dear Sugarhill Boutique shorts are a real favourite of mine. So versatile, I’ve worn them winter through to spring in many a different outfit. They were even featured in Look magazine in an outfit I wore (styled with my big horse print knitted jumper). Anyway, I love them, and I’ve found so many ways to get wear out of them. But I have to say I think this is officially my favourite.

I styled the shorts with my Zara black t-shirt which I actually wear all the time, whether that be with skinny jeans and pumps or my leather skirt and heels. It’s a real staple basic and I find it goes with everything. It’s leather trimmed and has a bold zip at the back which I find makes it that little more special. The top went perfectly with my lace shorts, giving them an effortless kind of twist.

The final touches were my brand new Daniel Footwear leather sandals, which just make me swoon every time I see them. I featured them in my hall post (here), but will be showing them off in lots of outfit posts to come as they really are a new fave of mine. They’re the perfect summer wedge, and uber chic with the gold buckle detailing. Last but not least was my new triangle necklace which my friend Anna bought me for my birthday from Urban Outfitters. It’s so simple and looks fab with a loose top like this.

I fell in love with this outfit and found it so comfortable to wear. It’s really easy going but it still looks classy which is what I love about it. It reminds me of ‘cali effortless’, and is the sort of thing I might have worn to Coachella.
