Outfit ahoy. This is the outfit I wore last week to the AX Paris bloggers event. Now, if you work you’ll appreciate the tricky task of dressing for work AND an evening out when you have party plans after work. This is something I’m constantly doing and feel like my whole wardrobe is full of ‘transitional’ items which can be upgraded to create a day to night outfit. This outfit is one of those.
I decided on a simple fitted navy dress, subtle but chic and easily smartened up for work with a little blazer (my fail safe trick for making something suitable for a working day). The shoes were my hilarious fail in that I when I left the house at 730am and grabbed them, I hadn’t quite realised that they really didn’t actually go with my coral blazer. But ah well. For work I swapped to flat pumps, and upgraded the look with red lippy and heels for the evening.
. Missguided Navy Dress . Zara Coral Blazer (old) . Zara Leopard Booties . H&M Gold Chain .
. Thanks to Kat for the photos .
I was actually feeling a bit poorly on this day, but overall the evening was absolutely lovely and I got to hang out with all my favourite bloggers. We had a right hoot taking tons of pictures in the photobooth area, watching the amazing acts, drinking too many cranberry cocktails and stuffing our faces at Dinner with Kansas Dogs. YUM. Overall it was a fab evening, I was sad I didn’t make the Motel event before hand, but I couldn’t juggle both what with work as well.
Today I’m heading home to see all my family and Jase for my birthday, I can’t wait to celebrate and open my pressies. I’ll also be prepping ahead of my garden party tomorrow too, everyone cross your fingers for sunshine.
What do you think of my work / night out look? What do you wear for days when your managing the work to night transition?
