Ladies That Lunch

January 13, 2013

Before I came away skiing I had a special celebratory lunch with my dad and his girlfriend in south ken to celebrate the holiday and a few other exciting things that life has thrown this way. The lunch was at Launceston Place an absolutely amazing fine dining restaurant in south west London & was followed by some tipsy shopping in Harrods, at which point I ‘accidentally’ bought some very cool Bang & Olufsen speakers which had 50% off.
. Warehouse Suede Biker . River Island Leather Dress . Mango Pumps . Mulberry Holly .
For the lunch I wore my River Island real leather dress with my new Gala Gonzolez Mango pumps & my sales bargain Warehouse Suede coat. It was quite a simple outfit but perfect for lunch in a nice restaurant and the shoes helped with the post dinner shopping spree we encountered. The bag is my Mulberry Holly which I use daily and the fur stole is from H&M and I also live in this.
I look slightly disheveled in these pictures and that’s because typically all the tube lines were down, meaning a million changes followed by a bus ride, which then resulted in the roads being closed, which was followed by a frantic taxi search. Cue frizzy hair and a slightly all over the place look.
. Bloody Mary .
. Slow cooked duck egg .
. braised white beans and purée, Morteau sausage and aged Sherry vinegar caramel .
. Roe deer .
. loin smoked in hay, haunch suet pudding, celeriac and pear .. Pure pistachio soufflé .
. praline ganache and chocolate sorbet .. The Natural History Museum .
The lunch was absolutely lovely and the food to die for. We chose off the chefs Market Menu which really was impressive, all my courses (not forgetting the Amuse Bouche’s in between each meal) were so delicious and every element of the dish was extremely clever & innovative. I really would recommend the restaurant for a real treat or special evening – it’s expensive but well worth the money.
What do you think about my lunch date outfit? Have you ever eaten in Lounceston place?

Lovely photographs of your lunch – the food looked mouthwateringly good! Love your Mulberry Holly bag, never seen that one before but it’s divine. I have the same H&M faux fur stole and live in it, it’s so practical and cosy.
