Outfit

Le Blizzard

January 14, 2013

Well I’m now back in the UK after a lovely week in the mountains – it seems I may have bought the snow back with me too after seeing the forecasts in the UK. I hope you’re not all bored of my holiday posts yet, I managed to get a few pics on evenings out whilst away (thanks dad) and so still have a couple of outfits to share with you.

This outfit was one I wore for a cocktail out at Le Blizzard one night and then for our dinner in the Chalet. I wanted to wear something pretty for the cocktails but still wanted to be comfy for the 10 million course dinner we were about to face & also keep warm out and about in the snow.
This topshop dress is one of those great dresses whereby they’re comfortable but look pretty & perfect for a casual drink out. As it was super nippy it gave me a perfect excuse to wear my new cream fur head band which my Nan got me for Christmas. I absolutely love it, and it’s just so cosy and cute.
. Topshop Denim & Stud Dress . Fur Headband . Zalando Boots . Warehouse Suede Biker .
My dad and I had a good play around with my camera throughout this holiday as I often lazily just use creative auto to get a good shallow depth of field and tend to stick to day light hours to ensure I get good qaulity & lighting. However on holiday this was very difficult as we were skiing all day and then it was dark at night. I managed to get a good grip of the ISO & aperture by the end of the evening but I would love to learn more about how best to work with a DSLR, there’s just so much to learn.
What do you think of my cosy mountain cocktail outfit? Are you a fan of fur accessories? I’d love to hear your camera tips if you have any too?

Love love love your Topshop denim dress – I really wanted this but it was just too short on me, damn them not putting more in the tall section. Lovely pictures – kudos to your dad.

This is such a gorgeous winter outfit! Faux fur accessories are my favourites for cold weather, so cosy and warm, but so chic too! xx

That dress is so lovely and I really love the headband. Yeah, I’m trying to get to grips with my DSLR too – it seems like such a waste to just use it on auto settings all the time! So I’ve bought a book, haha! x
