Today is apparently the biggest ‘party night’ of the festive season in the UK. So I thought what better way to celebrate the biggest day of festive merriment and season jolliness than to post a festive party dress outfit. I do love this time of year and the opportunity to get dolled up in your new season party dresses, I think this season gives us the biggest excuse to splash out on glamorous pretty dresses (probably why I love it so much).
So to that point, here’s one of my new festive party dresses. A new item this year from the lovely brand Free People. It’s actually a US based brand (I browsed in the stores loads in New York) but they’re newly launching in the UK. For me they do festive party dresses down to a T – think glitter and glam, sequins and sparkles and generally really nice quality & fitting dresses. I was really excited to come across the brand and absolutely fell in love with this dress when I saw it (probably because the model wearing it looked super hot and gave it a really edgy look – see here).

This sort of dress is my go to Christmas look, I like fitted, and structured / bodycon dresses but also ones that don’t leave you breathless & unable to move – this dress is a really comfy due to the stretchy nature of the material, looks glam and is good for squeezing in lots of champers and canapes. It’s also quite subtle (not too OTT), but does have a hint of sexiness due to the nude and lace detailing. The body of the dress has a nude lining under neath it (no flashing your nips phew), however the back and the neck area at the front have no lining – so it’s a very modest design but does have a touch of glam being slightly revealing & nude (does mean a bra is a no go).
Anyway, i’m super super chuffed with this dress and really excited to see what else Free People bring to the UK. If it’s anything like their Winter collection then we’re in for a treat this summer.
