Back to work with a bang today, after a super long relaxing weekend at home, dousing in some beach action and eating way too many burgers. In honor of my return to reality, I thought i’d share one of my staple work looks. I often get a lot of comments about my work wear, and how i’m super lucky to be able to dress relatively casual / smart and am not tied into suits and black all over looks (thank god). It’s definitely one of the perks of the advertising industry, and of course there are times in pitches & important meetings when I dress far more smart in a fitted dress & blazer etc … but day to day, it’s fairly relaxed.

This was an outfit I wore last week, sporting a couple of newbies too. Firstly my grey Topshop peplum which was one of the items I picked with my Style Compare prize money, simple yet chic & a very easy way to smarten up some crazy pink jeans ;) Second newbie, which you folk have already seen are my AWESOME runway shoes … love these bad boys.

So there you go, a colourful, yet (in my mind) still casual smart look, and one that I tend to fall to when I can’t think what else to wear to work, or when I just want to be comfy. I also always find that my Zara fantasy jacket massively smartens up any outfit as it’s so classic and chic … it sort of counter balances the neon pink jeans don’t you think ;)

I have a few new outfits to show you in the coming days actually, and a couple of beauty reviews of new products i’ve purchased & been using (my new Essie nail polish, and also the origins spot miracle treatment), so you can look forward to those. I also bought a cute new necklace (you may have seen on instagram – mediamarmalade if you want to follow moi) which will be coming up in an outfit post soon – I LOVE it. Neon pink … can’t go wrong ;)
