. SKINCARE PRODUCTS TO HYDRATE .
I’ve talked a couple of times about my quest for finding products that hydrate my skin and shared with you those i’ve loved (on my beauty page), but the search always continues and if anything over the last few months i’ve started to focus a little more on my ‘skincare’ routine, not just my beauty regime. I’ve been testing out some new products, buying those products i’ve heard rave reviews about & trying to spend a little more time in the morning and evening dedicated to skincare & ultimately moisturising.
. KIEHLS MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE . KIEHLS DARK SPOT CORRECTIVE SERUM .
. ELEMIS CELLULAR REPAIR CAPSULES . & OTHER STORIES HAND CREAM . KIEHLS ULTRA FACE CREAM .
Today I thought i’d share the latest skincare products i’m testing out and a couple of products I actually treated myself to whilst in Copenhagen this week! First of all is my Elemis cellular repair capsules, I wrote about these in my last beauty post (here) and having used them for a few weeks now I’m absolutely loving the results. I’m constantly battling dehydrated looking skin and scarring from the odd bastard blemish, and since using this i’ve noticed an overall improvement in my skin condition and also a generally hydrated feel. I’m definitely going to continue using these as i’m really impressed with the results so far.
But I didn’t want to settle just on that, I’ve also purchased a couple of other items to try out which are also meant to be amazing for skin hydration and condition, also interestingly one of them is another oil based product – something i’d never used before my Elemis cellular capsules. I decided to pick up the Kiehls midnight recovery serum in duty free after hearing rave reviews from friends and the bloggersphere. I was sold on the fact you wake up with glowing & healthy looking skin, something i’m in desperate need of right now!
As well as buying this product, I also got a couple of other mini Kiehl’s products to try which are also meant to be great for skin hydration and repairing – the ultra facial cream which i’ve used a few times and really love so far (I think i’ll buy a full size version when I fly to Dubai at the end of the month) and the Kiehls dark spot corrective serum. Despite never having spots as a kid, i have suffered with some in my adult years due to my pill & probably stress, whilst these are sporadic, they often do leave me with a dark scar mark which I hate so i’m keen to try this and see if it might help return my skin to it’s usual, even pigmentation!
I also didn’t want to just focus on my skin hydration, i’m notoriously awful at body hydration also so thought I should start with a simple hand moisturiser. After falling in love with And Other Stories i made the most of my trip to Copenhagen and bought half the store, and of course within my spree had to be one of their gorgeous hand moisturisers (a real competitor to L’Occitanes fab hand creams). I’m a big fan of fig and vanilla smelling things so this fig moisturiser went straight into my basket, and at £4 it’s a bargain! The little leather bag you can see in these pictures is also a little something I picked up in & Other Stories whilst I was away!
Are there any skincare products you live by or would recommend for keeping skin looking healthy and hydrated?

I love this cold weather but I hate how much it dries my skin out. I need to get myself a more hydrating moisturizer! xx

I’m THE WORST at body hydration. there’s just too much body to cover.
PS those capsules would be so, so perfect for travelling — I’ve got travel beauty on the brain at the moment since I’m going on holiday!
