The Best Accessory For Your Little Red Dress

Red isn’t a colour I wear all that often, but this little red dress is a number that caught my eye immediately whilst scrolling through ASOS (this one is from New Look, but ASOS have actually created there own version which is gorgeous too), so much so it’s out of stock status kept me checking back again and again hoping it might just come back in my size. When it did, without a hesitation I ordered it. Originally I thought it would be a fab dress for my friends wedding, but in the end I wore this little number – a reliable summer favourite.

You see styling a red dress, literally and metaphorically requires a few key ingredients, and confidence in my opinion has to be top of that list.

Red is bold, vibrant and attracts attention, and when wearing it those are feelings to embrace and not shy away from. The reality is the dress itself does the talking, so physical accessories should be kept simple. Black sandals or heels and a classic black bag (my Chanel Boy is the perfect partner in crime) for special events and parties, or for a lovely date night a simple pair of mules & my favourite Chloe bag are easy pairings.

This dress is also one I cannot wait to take away on holiday, paired with sun-kissed skin and my favourite tan leather sandals, it’s the perfect dress worn slightly un-done and understated for summer evenings spent sat on the beach watching the sun set.
