Outfit

Just Horsing Around

January 18, 2012

I love seeing blog posts full pictures & outfits so I am hoping you do too as this post is full of both :) I went to winchester this weekend & my sisters and I took a few snaps of us while strolling around. My home town is gorgeous, I love coming back and walking round town, going on walks and visiting the local pub. I thought I’d share my casual outfit with you, the main feature being my old school horse print jumper. I think it was from H&M and I do love it. One of my new years resolutions (alongside get ace at photography) is to sort out my wardrobe, I have SO many clothes, shoes, scarfs, bags, coats, well everything. I always find I have so much stuff rammed in my wardrobe that I forget to wear half of my cothes. My first step to helping organise my fashion treasures and dig out some of my old clothes was buying myself a gorgeous vintage hat stand (post to follow) – this should help show all my bags, coats and scarfs in all their glory and spare up a little space in my wardrobe.

. H&M Horse Cardy . Burgundy Skinny Jeans . Vintage Chloe Bag . Zara Fur Gilet .

Do you find you have so many clothes & shoes etc that you forget half of what you have? How do you store and manage all of your belongings? I am really interested in storage right now so please send me links if you’ve posted anything on this?

      Love the horse print cardi!
I’m currently sharing my wardrobe with my other half, which isn’t fun, as his boy clothes are so big and bulky! I’m hoping to build some sort of hanging rail things and have all my favourite clothing items/accessories out on display – sort of make a feature out if…somehow.

Love the pictures that you captured on your weekend, and love the horse print. The jeans are a beautiful colour also.

I sometimes forget about things if they drop of their hanger in my wardrobe, but I now have my wardrobe quite well organised. A couple of things that work well for me- tie hangers are great if you have lots of scarves, and are usually only a couple of pounds from bargain homeware type places, I use clear shoe boxes in a custom shoe rack that I designed in my fitted wardrobe, but custom designs aside, clear shoe boxes are the way forward! They can be a bit expensive, but are well worth the investment. And although it sounds trivial, I make sure everything has its own hanger. I know lots of people double things up on hangers to save space, but I try and make sure everything is on its own hanger, otherwise things get forgotten and buried.

      Good Luck!

I have a clothes rail up in my loft! At the moment its home to my summer clothes but when the sun comes out I’ll swap it over for the winter clothes that are hanging in my wardrobe right now. Can’t remember what I’ve put up there so I’m looking forward to falling in love with my clothes all over again in a few months! :)
