L’Occitane Dolice des Fleurs Rose

January 6, 2012

Well what a little treat, L’Occitane lip gloss in Delice des Fleurs Rose. This lipgloss comes in a cute little purse size tin so it’s perfect for keeping in your handbag. The lipgloss is available in 3 different shades and retails at £8. I picked the rose shade but they also offer violet & peach. All the shades have a slight shimmery tint to them, so look very natural on but still have a touch of glamour. And shall I tell you the best thing of all … I got it totally free. Oh yes. Many thanks to Glamour who have tucked in a cheeky voucher to this months issue so all us girlies can go and get a little bit of luxury in our lives this drizzily January. Hooray.

I popped to covent garden in my lunch break and picked mine up from my local L’Occitane, the experience was super quick and pain free and they had plenty in stock which is great (nothing worse than a free gift which is a nightmare to actually get). I must say it’s a very cute product, typical of the the L’Ocittane luxurious girly style, and I really like the look of the gloss on. It’s subtle in colour, but does give a slight glittery pinky tint and also has a shiny gloss to it. It’s great for the natural day time look, very english rose. But if I am really honest, I’m not sure I would justify spending £8 on this product myself (at least not at this stage of my life). I am a big fan of the rose vaseline for a simple day look and whilst you can completely tell the quality difference between the two glosses, I personally would rather spend £1.50 for a similar look.
Have you picked up a free L’Occitan lipgloss, which shade did you go for?

I do love the glosses that come in a little box, and you apply them by smearing them on with a finger. I’ve got a super pricey Jane Iredale chapstick at the mo, which lives in my pocket all winter, but actually I should have bought me one of these instead :)

I love glosses, I actually wear mostly gloss instead of lipstick mostly because it is just easier. This one looks very pretty.
