I am feeling Spring, glimpses of sunshine are starting to break through, the birds are out making a racket (at all hours of the day), it’s staying lighter longer and I’m getting excited about BBQ’s and summer dresses. Admittedly it’s still pretty nippy (and in complete contrast to yesterday, today is totally chucking it down, typical) but Spring is certainly on its way. Yesterday, to make the most out of the sunshine I went down to Bournemouth beach for some lunch in my favourite little restaurant on the pier with my boyfriend. I used to go to Uni in Bournemouth (I graduated 3 years ago now) and I go back down there at every opportunity I can, it’s extra nice as it’s also where I met Jase 4 years ago.

As I was totally feeling the sunshine & spring vibe I opted for these mint green jeans I bought last year in Zara. They’re super comfy and instantly made me feel like it was summer. I also have bright red, tan, burgundy, white and mustard coloured skinny jeans but I think strawberry is next on my list (the ones I featured here). I teamed my bright jeans with an old floral urban outfitters tunic and my new tan blazer. I also nicked these shoes off my sister to wear for the day … they’re loads like the Topshop ones I’ve been after for ages, but about 100% cheaper as they’re one of New Looks bargain gems. In fact I actually liked them so much that I may go and get myself a pair too :)
The beach was stunning and the swell in the waves were really up so there were lot’s of surfers out which was fun to watch. There were also some awesome free jumpers out practicing back flips and crazy summersaults on the beach which made for some entertaining whilst we sat and drank our beers :) All in all a lovely day, finished off with dinner at home and a trip to the cinema to see The Vow. Today is going to be very chilled at home, and I may pop out for brunch in Winchester.

Turquoise has suddenly become my favourite colour. No joke. I found this little turquoise/minty cardigan in my wardrobe and I keep wearing it now. Really love your jeans. I want to attempt colourful jeans this summer. :) x
