Outfit

When Cream Fades Blue

April 14, 2012

. Zara Mesh Dip Dye Top . Zara Wax Jacket (old) . Denim Shorts . Mulberry Bayswater . KG Boots .

My new Zara top was never shown to it’s full potential in this post I did last week, the outfit showed off the mesh detail but not the lovely dip dye effect that comes at the bottom. So here’s round two if you please, and this time the top is the centre piece. Annoyingly the exposure is rather high in these photos, but fear not, there are some close ups that bring the top to life a little more.

These photos were taken on the Clifton Suspension bridge whilst on a super long walk around Clifton and Ashton Court. So et voila to a totally non staged photo, these are the real deal today :) I was wrapped up fairly warm as it got quite windy whilst walking. The jacket is my favourite wax jacket, that with some kind of a miracle, I actually found in Zara and PREFERRED over the Barbour one I was off to purchase. That saved me some pennies. The rest of the outfit is a little blah, denim shorts, KG boots and my Mulberry Bayswater.

The dip dye effect appears to be in right now, i’ve been watching lots of DIY posts on updating your wardrobe to fit the trend. It’s a funny one that I didn’t really think I was much of a fan of, but this top I just fell in love with. In fact even Jase thought it was lovely when I wore it. I noticed they have mesh shorts (you know the style) but to match this dip dye top too in Zara at the moment, so you could go full hog :)

Today I’m going to have quite a chilled day, going to take some photos for some up coming outfit posts as I have lots of new things to shoot, I think i’ll also be treating my little sister to lunch somewhere too. I don’t really have all that much planned, but will try and see my girls at some point :)

What do you think about the dip dye effect? Have you done any dip dye DIY’s?

Oooh the top is GORGEOUS, very different! Also, the wax jacket is awesome – I have one like it from Mango but it kinda has a denim feel? Was this one from Zara recent? Wanting :D
