When In Doubt Wear Red

There’s a great saying ‘when in doubt wear red’ (coined by Bill Blass an American fashion designer), and I think it’s true. Picking up red takes some guts, it’s bold, it’s rich and it’s statement. When in doubt, you need that little something to give you the push, the confidence, the self assurance you need. So why not turn to fashion to give you that little bit of confidence. I’ve only recently become a fan of red clothes, I previously admired from a far … a bystander enjoying others looking fabulous in statement bold pieces, but I think it’s about time I had a bit of confidence to join the brigade. So here I am, taking a leap of faith, and ditching my doubt.

This was the other item I got from Sheinside, alongside my black blouse with a gorg gold sequin collar (featured here). As you can tell, the sequin collars clearly draw me in, I do just think they transform a standard item of clothing. The red dress is transformed by the detailed sequin collar, renovated from a standard body con dress to a little glamorous number. It’s the perfect dress for a night out with the girls and even dinner out, I think I may even try it with my long Monki jumper over it for a casual look. OOH the opportunities.

I’m excited to try on some of my gorg new Boohoo.com clothes too, I’ve picked up some amazing shoes (see here) and this gorgeous pastel skirt (see here) … so excited to style them and show you all the outfit posts :) The brucey bonus is Boohoo have got an easter sale on right now, bargain galore.

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday yesterday. Our barge trip was so much fun and we had a really good night out too (hungover now). I was radio silence yesterday as I was a busy bee, but back with an outfit today for you all :) I’m off to Bristol shortly to finely see my boy, muchos excited yah.
