Florals and tea cakes, so British Darling. This post is quintessentially British kitsch I’d say, featuring my cute new floral blouse featured in todays OOTD as well as some snaps of my amazing afternoon tea party which I had for my Birthday (belated pics I know).
I love an outfit that feels so comfortable that you just want to turn to it every day. This cute floral blouse from Krisp is so super pretty but also so easy to wear that I want to wear it all the time. I teamed it with a belt in this outfit but it actually looks really cool just worn loose too (with a nice knit cardy). I loved the loose floaty style teamed with my smart structured tan Beshka blazer. I accessorized with my new Krisp gold bangle and my new Topshop boots – which by the way I just simply love / hate at the same time. So lush but flippin eck the hard leather hurt my feet this day (was the first day I wore them).
I’ve been so impressed with Krisp, i’d not heard of them before, but they have some really on trend pieces which I just love. Well worth a browse.
Following my ‘One Day’ post I had so many lovely comments about getting a ‘glimpse’ into my life that I thought I’d start adding a few more little life pics to my outfit posts. Given this outfit is super girly and floral I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to share with you my amazing birthday cakes that my family made me. A loose link right?
Now I am no connoisseur but I like a good cake, I adore banana cake, carrot cake, yoghurt cake, cheese cake … basically anything other than standard sponge. So for my birthday my very talented family made me this incredible array of cakes for a ‘little’ afternoon tea party – with the piece de resistence, a banana and pineapple cake which had the amazing carrot cake frosting on it. Literally just HEAVEN. I used my new macro lens for these pics too, I think it’s so good – the cake and the lens :)
