For a wee while now I’ve been longing for the courage to wear some print trousers, I absolutely adore the sytle and think, if you can find the right cut and print, you’re in for a treat. Despite ‘halfheartedly’ searching for a pair for a while, I wouldn’t really say I put all that much effort in, I never found a pair that I felt comfortable in. I found that they were either too bright and so scared me away, or made my derriere require it’s own continent. I sort of just gave up my quest, until I very randomly stumbled upon these dear pantaloons.
I wasn’t even looking for print trousers when I found these, I was actually hunting down a silk shift dress in the Topshop sale which I’ve been after for a while, sadly to no prevail, so whilst I’d made the effort to hit the shops I thought I may as well try on some stuff. Without even thinking I just grabbed these and after trying them on I just fell in love. They are an absolutely perfect fit, and so comfy. I love that the print, despite being bright and a mix of shades, it isn’t too over whelming (the more block prints I find are more POW in your face), and I like that they’re cropped too. Jase was quite impressed with them too, and given I own nothing like this, I took the leap and am now part of the print pant brigade.

When it comes to styling print, I think it can be a tricky affair, you don’t want to go too OTT and end up blinding poor passers by. As such, and also taking into account that it took a lot of courage just to buy print trousers in the first place, I decided that a simple outfit would be best. Introducing the black vest, a wardrobe staple, but utterly hideous to say the least. Despite the fact I’d usually keep this ill fitting vest hidden from site, I think it works well with the bright print pants and black heels. I think for future wear I’m going to buy a fitted black vest to avoid the crumpled sides.
What do you think of the print trouser look? Do you like these ones I’ve picked and the very simple styling, how would you wear these?
Love these they look great on you xx

Your shoes are amazing! Love them. I also love the hints of black in the floral pattern, it just kinda tones it down? Look lovely. very summery.

I’ve had exactly the same thoughts on printed trousers. Those ones are lovely and you’ve styled them really nicely with the black shoes and vest. Great post!
these trousers look great – i dont know why you were apprehensive about buying some before! i love printed trousers but all mine have big floral patterns on them. i like the small design of this pattern and the fit looks great. i don’t know whether i am willing to pay £40 for some though when my h&m ones were only £12.99!!!!
