A while ago I blogged about my dream Zara boots which I naughtily gave into, and snapped up as soon as I saw them in a black version. Well highly anticipated i’m sure, today is the first time they’re being featured on my blog in a real life outfit post. Dun Dun Dah. Now I wore these a while ago when I attended the BT Hyde Park event VIP with Absolute, now whilst I looked the park, holy geez my poor feet got destroyed. The boots are leather and obviously need a bit loosening, thankfully post that initial torture, the next time I wore them they were much more comfy.
As you all know, i’m a shift dress whore these days (I even bought another one yesterday, oops), and when I got to pick a couple of treats from Sheinside recently this dress was top on my wish list. It’s a really cute crochet white shift dress, with big poofy shoulders. I sort of tucked the shoulders in a bit with this look so they were a bit more subtle , i’m also tempted to DIY them and chop them a little too – will keep you posted on that too.
. Sheinside Crochet Shift Dress (C/O) £26 . Zara Stud Boots . Topshop Leather Jacket (old) .
. Primark Necklace .
So my first discovery after putting this dress on was how SHORT it was. I was planning on wearing it to work, but swiftly had to change into something a little more modest given the butt cheek risk. But when I wore this look pictured, I actually put my leather back shorts on underneath just in case, but luckily you can’t see them much. With leather boots & a leather jacket to finish it off, I love how you can transform a girly shift into an edgy look perfect for a gig or evening out.
So yesterday I went down to Winchester and spent a sunny 5hours lounging around, drinking pimms, having a picnic and watching live Olympics streaming. It was such a lovely day & to top it off my friend and I took a cheeky little shopping trip where I picked up another Bourjois Glamour Max mascara (I love this product), some Essie nail polish in a gorgeous coral / pink colour and to finish off a really chic black silk shift from River Island. I’ll no doubt be showcasing them on my inter web space soon :)
On a final note, I am so excited for the closing ceremony tonight. Spice girls … Boom Boom!!
What do you think of this look & my styling of the shift dress? Have you got any tips for when a dress comes up super short?

These boots stare at me every time I go on the Zara website. Sadly my bank statement stares at me, too. They look great with this dress though, love soft white fabrics against stud and leather. Cx
