You’ll all be very pleased to hear, I am finally recovered after my crazy night out partying with Olympians & in honour of my super surreal evening, I thought i’d recap and show you all what I happened to be wearing yesterday when the old shin dig kicked off.
Obviously this was an outfit for work, but as I happened to go out after work (i blame Burger & Lobster lunch & cocktails for getting us in the mood), it held the transition through to Mahiki night wear. I quite like going out after work, there’s no over dressing or pressure to be glammed up wearing your best outfit, you have no choice but to make the most of what you happened to be wearing. Add some lippy and lashings of mascara and that’s me ready to roll.
One of my best friends is actually Norweigen and lives in Oslo now, my uni friends and I travel out to see her a couple of times a year, and one of my fave things to do is SHOP. I absolutely love Gina Tricot (A really cheap fashion shop in most Scandinavian countries) and whenever I go to see my friend or go on a little city break I always visit this store.
The dress in this post is one I bought in Gina Tricot about 5 years ago (aghh, time flies), and it cost about €25 .. . which is crazy. I absolutely love this dress and it’s been my al l time favourite summer dress since I bought it. It’s perfect for work, super comfy, an amazing fit and can be styled up or down for whatever the occasion.
. Gina Tricot Dress (Old) . Topshop Leather Belt . Ash Sandals . Topshop White Blazer (old) .
I may even wear this again today with my converse, for a super casual look. I am meeting one of my dearest friends for a little picnic and some Olympic action out in Winchester as they have big screens up showing all the action. I missed her Birthday on Wednesday so I have her pressie to give her & am looking forward to some sun rays too.
I have Monday and Tuesday off this week and so Jase was meant to be coming down for a long 5 day weekend (I had lots planned, Cowes Week, BBQ tonight, The beach). Well bit annoyed as couple of things have come up his end meaning it looks like he’s coming down later and later … this makes for one very grumpy girl. Tempted to cancel my time off GRR :(
Anyway, I hope you like this summery look & enjoy the gorgeous sun shine today. What are you getting up to?
Ps: Don’t forget 2 days left to enter my £25 voucher giveaway here.

Hey Lucy. I work in the media industry, in advertising & comms strategy. It’s a fairly smart / casual dress approach.
