Silver Shampoo

September 5, 2012

. Pro:Voke Silver Shampoo £2.99, Sainsbury’s .
As a blondey I am always trying to find ways to keep my hair looking vibrant and not like a hay stack. I often will use John Frieda ‘Go Blonder’ or ‘Purple Shampoo’ to help keep my colour alive, but they are a tad costly (usually about £6 a shampoo). Silver shampoo is obviously the dream, but again quite costly and I never find it stocked in the ‘usual’ shopping destinations. However, I’ve just discovered something pretty good at Sainsburys, they actually have a very cheap silver shampoo product hidden away by the dry shampoo (I was on an ‘essentials’ shop). At £1.99 for a shampoo or conditioner and £2.99 for a more intense 2 weekly shampoo – It was a no brainer that i’d give it a go.
Having tried it out for a few months now I must say it’s pretty darned good. It brightened my hair for sure, very subtly, but I did notice that you see more of an instant change with this product than you do with the John Frieda daily wash range. Having only tried the ‘original’ silver shampoo a couple of times, I’m not sure how it compares really. But for £2.99 I couldn’t recommend this enough, I am most definitely going to continue to use this range. The other massive bonus I found was that it actually left my hair feeling very soft and silky too, which is fab news as usually my hair looks like a total wash away mess.
Have you tried this silver shampoo or any other brands? Which product would you recommend for blonde hair, would love to hear your faves?

I wonder if this would lighten my light brown hair to give it a hint of blonde… Worth a try for the bargain price!!

I use a L’oreal silver shampoo and swear by it but I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for this now for that price!

I love this too! I also use their Daily Maintenance Shampoo and Daily Nourish Conditioner. These are the only products where people actually ask me whether I’ve had my hair coloured when I haven’t!x
