Paintworks

October 16, 2012

Fact – My boyfriend gets massively fed up taking pictures of me when I rope him into it at the weekend. Cue – Actually quite a cool selection of photos. Set Up – Jase was taking the mickey out of my ‘standard’, ‘boring’ useless poses (sadly he’s right there), so much so that he was making me chuckle away. Cue – Snap Snap Snap. Et Voila … today’s outfit post & pics.

I’m no model, I have no idea what to do in my blog photos, I can’t do ‘pretty smiles’ or perfect pouts, just big cheesy grins, and let’s face it I have no idea how to stand to enhance my assets. This, to be fair, is quite amusing, well Jase finds it super amusing anyway. But actually these photos took about 45 seconds to take, and were a lot of giggling fun, and i’m generally quite pleased with them. The natural look always looks best I think.
So anyway, these photos were taken Sunday when we popped to the paintworks for a nice cuppa coffeeeee, mine: Hazelnut Americano. Followed by an accidental shopping spree (when I naughtily purchased my expensive jersey tee).
. unsubtle shoe photo .
. River Island Parka £55 . Topshop Boots £85 . H&M Fur Stole £12 . Zara Blouse (sale £30) .
. AA Disco Pants £70 . Brand Village Handbag £49 (c/o) .
So this outfit has 3 note worthy points: Numero Uno, the return of my AA disco pants. After ferociously hoiking them over my large derrière in an attempt to style them a while ago, I accidentally ripped the zip apart – OOPS. Anyway, my mums a magician and completely fixed the bad boys up and so they’re finally back in my life. Number Deux, my lovely leather booties from topshop, I’ve not worn these anywhere near enough (perhaps something do with the blisters they inflicted on me). And last, but certainly not least my new bag, from Brand Village.
This little beaut got delivered at the end of last week, and so took pride of place on my side all weekend. I admittedly (and potentially sadly) very rarely venture from my Mulberrys. I have a rather large collection now (shockingly large) and so it takes a lot for me to want to swap to another bag. But this bag achieved just that. I think it’s the cream leather with gold studs that did it, and the slouchy low hang look. Casual but still stylish. I really love the design & it looked ace teamed with my parka & zara blouse.
So that’s your lot for today. A little update on my car sitch, it’s looking like I won’t get the deal I wanted, but am still going to view it Wednesday and my decide to go all out and invest :O
What do you think of today’s outfit? Do you like my new bag? I’d love to hear how you take your outfit pics & whether you have the same posing issues as I do?

I have this stole and this coat but would never have paired them together. They look fantastic on you, so you’ve inspired me to wear them like this! And those boots, wow x
