Oh how misleading, I look fresh faced and healthy as a  … as a …  ripe apple? Anyway, I was feeling fine at 8am when I took these pictures, cue 2 hours later and it’s a totally different tale. But this was the outfit I had planned to wear, a really casual but cute daylook.

This dress is brand new and is something I’d been eyeing up for a while. It’s from Topshop and is a redesign of their Autumn denim dress (a lighter shade of denim). I loved the Autumn one but it was sadly sold out but thankfully the new design which they’ve bought out for winter is also super nice too. I tried to avoid the dress for a long time as at £55 I thought it was a bit overpriced. But hey, it’s the price of beauty (or whatever the phrase is). I finally gave in as I had a good excuse to purchase – related to a project i’m working on, which will all be revealed soon :)

I styled the dress with tan accessories, embracing the true cowboy within me – or cow girl I should say. I love a bit of tan leather and denim combined, so this outfit was an easy win. I styled the dress with my Zalando boots, which I have practically worn every day since they landed on my door step. I love them so. I decided to pull on my tan leather belt (an old Topshop number) as I can’t resist a waist belt, and it went well with the dress.

The final and most noteworthy accessory is my new Steve Madden bag. Hello you little beauty. I have long admired suede tassel bags but never owned such a boho chic masterpiece, but after receiving this amazing bag this week I was so eager to use it and it’s the perfect size for a casual weekend look (will also now be my go to festival bag). If you hadn’t already realised (shame on you), Steve Madden – the heavenly US shoe brand, has finally come across shore to us brits – HALLELUJAH. I’ve always admired, wished for, longed for, lusted after, dreamed of (ETC) Steve Madden shoes but never wanted to suck up the shipping costs – my woes are here by diminished though, they’re finally come to the UK and are being stocked in Oxford St HoF – yay. Definitely worth checking out as they do incredible shoes – my current faves are there Leopard print ankle boots (swoon) & these stud ankle boots … oh and these suede boots.
