Happy Sunday everyone, today i’m opting for a rather glamorous sunday outfit post opposed to a more cosy sunday look like I might usually post. That’s because i’m feeling festive. It’s really not long until Christmas now, and all the lights are on, it’s only a few weeks until my work Christmas party and my festive trip to NYC (EEE). That means I’m starting to embrace festive party wear, I say starting to, but what I really mean is i’m starting to have a valid reason to embrace festive party wear.
I’m absolutely loving all the sequin dresses which are available at the moment, from fitted body con, to boob tube, to full on maxi or even a shift dress, sequins are everywhere and so it’s pretty easy to find 20 million dresses that are your kind of thing.
I’d not really seen any shift sequin dresses before this year, but when I saw this one on Krisp’s website I was desperate to style it. It’s a really simple loose shift shape, which is rare for a sequin dress, it’s sort of understated in cut but overstated in material which I really like.

The dress is sadly SUPER short on me, so I’m not sure what i’m going to do about that, I may see if I can lower the hem a little :) For this look I decided to style it with very thick black tights, these are perfect in winter anyway, but look really good with the dress and help hide it’s length too.
I always curl my hair if i’m doing anything other than my normal day to day. My hair is naturally very curly, but more waves & surf curls than glamour ringlet curls, so I always do a little frizz control with my straightners if Im going out somewhere special. My jewellery is pretty simple as I didn’t want to over do it with the statement dress, a simple pair of chadelier earings finished off the look perfecto.
On an off topic note I went and saw Twilight last night and it was A-Mazing. I want to see it again already.
What do you think of this sequin shift dress? Are you a fan of sequins for Christmas party wear?

This dress is gorgeous, the understated cut/overstated material concept you mentioned works so well. Haven’t been in or seen a Krisp for years but will definitely have to check out the website.
