Outfit

A 24/7 Catwalk

January 3, 2013

There’s always a real thrill entwined with wearing new items of clothing for the very first time. A sort of deep excitement and proudness that makes you want to go nice places and show it all off. Christmas is obviously a time of new things and so the days following the big event were effectively a 247 fashion show for me. New items, new outfits, new styles. It was a lot of fun and i think I’ve just about worn all my new things at least once now.

This outfit post includes two of my Christmas presents (both from Jase) and also my newish hat which I bought in NYC. Jase bought me these Gala Gonzolez pumps & Zara suede / leather sleeved jacket for Christmas, I was so over the moon with both of them and wasn’t expecting them at all. I had asked for the pumps for Christmas but their original pricing was quite a lot (£95) so I didn’t expect to get them, and as for the jacket, well this is Jase’s good taste (I had also seen and loved, so he did well).
I’d been lusting after the Gala Gonzolez range in Mango for ages, not only was it super cool that the whole range had been designed by an incredible blogger, the collection was actually beautiful with lots of embellishment and gold detailing which is just my cup of tea at the moment. I love these pumps so much and can’t stop wearing them :)
. Zara Suede & Leather Jacket . Mango Pumps (by Gala Gonzolez) . Zara Jeans & Silk Blouse .
. Anthropologie Hat .
I decided to style the items quite casually, as this outfit was what I wore the day after boxing day. I styled them with a simple pair of skinny jeans & a silk studded collar blouse both from Zara. The jacket and shoes (and my lovely little hat) are definitely the statement items in the look, and so I didn’t want to overdo it with too much detail and colour.
I actually think this jacket & pumps will go perfectly with my new Topshop duck egg blue jamie jeans which I picked up in the sale yesterday (down to £25). I hadn’t intended on purchasing anything, but after seeing them and finding a perfect fit I decided that another pair of jeans wouldn’t do any harm (ahem). This reminds me … I really do need to start selling / giving some bits to charity as my wardrobe is beyond over flowing.
What do you think of my Christmas treats from Jase? Do you like the styling of the look and what would you wear this jacket with?

Oh you look so nice. First off your hair is such a lovely blond color and with those blue eyes it looks wonderful! I like the pants a lot, a nice dark blue and they fit very nicely. The jacket is stylish without being too loud, good touch. Well here’s to being chic and staying fabulous! And don’t forget great skin care and to do a beautiful facial at night after bubble bath and before bed!
