It’s only bloomin’ Valentines day – the day for couples to be soppy and have a good excuse to revamp the romance, and for singletons to max out girls night and vino consumption. In my mind it’s winning all round. I myself am going with the former, and will be spending this evening eating yummy food in a cosy peruvian restaurant in Soho with my boyfriend … and in ‘real time’, this is ACTUALLY what I’m wearing today (and tonight) for the ‘big day’.
This is the first time I’ve featured my leather skirt on my blog (despite the fact I’ve worn it tons) and it’s been a long time coming. I actually have 2 other outfit posts featuring the skirt which i’m waiting to share with you, one slightly more dressy, and one even more casual – i’ll get them up soon. But in the mean time I decided to share this as it’s what I’m wearing right now.

I didn’t want to go to OTT today, as after all i’m not a crazy Valentines mentalist, but I did want to look nice for my special evening out and wanted to make a little effort. This leather skirt is perfect to me in so ways, mainly how it adds some real vavavoom to a look, but can be styled casually with a nice jumper or cosy tee. It’s the real contrast of slouchy and dressy and this skirt allows the two styles to combine perfectly.
My other obsession of late is obviously my shoes. SWOON. I’m still crushing on them now. It would have been rude not to invite them along tonight, and so they’re taking pride of my place on my tootsies.

The leather skirt looks great! It’s one of my best friends’ birthdays tonight so I will be spending my evening out on the town, as opposed to seeing my boyfriend! :(
