Texture Clash

This dress is something I picked up in H&M a year or so ago, when I was trying to embrace the smock / a frame dress look. Sadly it’s not really what I was after and proved less practical than I was hoping. The back of the dress is pure chiffon, which means it’s completely see through. This then means you need to wear a long top under neath, which due to the velvety texture of the front causes loads of friction and makes the dress cling in weird places. So this is the reason I rarely wear it, but I do love it still and so every now and then I’ll bring it back out and style it up.

As it’s a simple, plain dress, I love styling it with my biker leather jacket as it gives it quite a casual chilled vibe, and naturally my go to accessory was my fur stole and Zalando ankle boots. I swear I wear these two items almost every single day. I really like the outfit, and definitely need to wear this dress more. I may have a think about how I can wear it for summer too.
