Thinking About Love & Valentines Giveaway

Now I know most people tend to ignore Valentines, and opt for a low key celebration if any, but I must say I do like to do something for Valentines, It just gives you a really great excuse to spend some quality time with your partner and take a moment to appreciate what you’ve got. Even being single it can be a fab day, and a great excuse to get all your pals round for a soppy bridget jones themed evening :) This post is just a few thoughts on Valentines, gifts and sharing what I have planned.

Jase, if you are reading this, stop immediately.
So first up I’d like to say I by no means celebrate Valentines like you see in the US – I’m thinking Kristen and Sandy Cohen valentines drama in season 1 (sorry, huge OC fan here). No, I’m not crazy about it, and don’t expect grand gestures and tons of presents. But I do like to make a little effort and organise some fun things to do.
This year I have quite a busy Valentines planned with Jase coming to London to spend a long weekend with me. Thursday we’ll head out for dinner, we’ve not booked anywhere yet but we’re likely to go somewhere in Mayfair or Nottinghill and both like our food so we’ll no doubt try somewhere new (we’re thinking Sushi Samba / Hix / E&O / St Johns / Polpo right now). On Friday we’re heading for Brunch at the Riding House Cafe in Fitzrovia, it’s a real fave of mine and so I’m really keen to try their brunch. This is going to be followed by some pottering round London, maybe a trip to Primrose Hill (and hopefully popping into LFW and the New Look VIP room for me too). Saturday will be a chilled day, a stroll along the river into Richmond for a coffee or something, with the evening being spent in the Covent Garden Hotel attending their film club, which includes a 3 course meal and a private screening of ‘The Hobbit’. Covent Garden Hotel, as well as Charlotte St & Soho hotels, all have a special weekly film club, in which every weekend they host dinner or afternoon tea followed by a private screening of a movie (changes weekly). It’s £35 pp and something I’ve always wanted to do, so i’m really looking forward to this. Sunday is unplanned … just as it should be :)
Now gifts aren’t something Jase and I really go mad for, we’ll always get each other a little treat but nothing crazily extravagant. This Valentines i’m giving Jase something which I think is super cute (albeit a little girly). We’re hoping to move in together in the next few months and we’re big tea drinkers, so when Big Fish got in contact with me re reviewing some Cornishware Mugs I jumped at the opportunity. Especially as the  Cornish Mugs were designed for a couple (called ‘a couple of mugs’)  and could be personalised for ‘his & hers’ which is just perfect in my mind. It’s a really low key gift, but will actually mean something to the both of us (in jokes n’ that).
Jase and I have always called eachother Bear … can’t even remember why now. But even after 5 years it’s stuck and funnily I never actually call my boyfriend Jase to his face haha. Anyway, I’m naturally the bear cub, and Jase the bear :) I can’t wait to give these to him and get them into our future home.
Second of all on the Valentines agenda is lots of treats for a cosy night in, think chocies, movies, nice undies and maybe even some massage oil. When Best British Bloggers got in contact with me to work with Panache Lingerie it was a no brainer. I’ve worked with the lingerie brand a couple of times before and always been absolutely chuffed with my lingerie sets.
As a big boobied girl (30E) It’s actually rather hard to find nice underwear in my size on the high street so brands like Panache are real god sends. Gorgeous underwear made for every size you could possibly need. This is really important to me, and more than just good fitting underwear the brand really prides itself on design and creating beautiful lingerie.
So anyway when the opportunity arose to work with them again I was all over it. I got to pick a lingerie set from the new collection and opted for this gorgeous Cleo set, when it arrived I was even more lucky to find that the lovely ladies at Best British Bloggers had not merely organised the undies but also created a fab goody bag to go with it. Cue, the perfect cosy night in entertainment set.

So there you go, my Valentines plans and goodies shared, and hopefully it’ll give you a little inspiration for your Valentines night, whether your in a relationship or not, I always think it’s a fab excuse to treat youself and T up a really fun weekend.
But in the spirit of love and celebrating cupid’s work etc etc, I think it’s only fair I can give a little Valentines treat to you, my lovely readers too.
