A Classic Combination

Seeing as it’s Monday and ‘back to work’ day I thought I’d share a real favourite work look of mine. As you’ll have gauged by now, I am rally obsessed with this skirt and have managed to find many ways to wear it. With a big knit jumper, super casual with converse and a big Tee, but also of course, dressed up in a smart look for work (or dinner / night out etc).

I’ve been meaning to share this look with you all for ages, after all it is a fave of mine, but casual jean wear seemed to have got in the way last week. This skirt is one of my best buys of late, this and my leopard boots. i’d been looking for a leather skirt for ages, but I wanted a real leather one, just above the knee and not too mini. Surprisingly I just couldn’t find THE perfect one anywhere, until I happened to come across this one in H&M in Selfridges. It’s a really perfect fitting skirt, very true to size and super good quality. I’m really happy with it and really impressed by H&M.

Todays going to be a very busy week at work for me, so I’m hoping my blog doesn’t get too neglected – I’m sure it won’t. I’m also hoping to book my holiday this week too, we were thinking about Mauritius but due to the unpredictable rain fall and seriously long flight we’re now looking at Egypt. Guaranteed sunshine and not too far away. I can’t wait for a super relaxing break so this will be just perfect.

    I really admire your ability to make such an effort each day yet look so effortless. I love getting dressed up, and I love clothes/shopping but at 6.30 in the morning I couldn’t possibly pull together an outfit like you do. I could also never pull off that skirt.

    I think this skirt looks perfect for work. I have a longer leather look pencil skirt which I was a bit nervouse about wearing for work to begin with, but I like it now and it’s not too “OMG LEATHER SKIRT”-ish, which is good.
