Outfit

Back To Basics

March 1, 2013

Today’s outfit post is a real ‘basics’ one, but sometimes that’s all the day needs. This weekend I bought a new basic Tee from Zara and have been wearing it lots this week, it goes with everything but makes for a really easy and chilled outfit when styled with jeans and ankle boots.
The top is literally a plain back loose tshirt with a leather rimmed collar, really simple but there’s something nice about wearing a really casual tshirt with a nice pair of skinny jeans. Effortless. I added my ankle boots to give the outfit a bit of a kick, but have also worn the top this week with white jeans and my Mango embroidered pumps which made for a more casual look.
. Zara Skinnny Jeans, Black Tshirt & Ankle Boots . Mulberry Holly Bag . Topshop Leather Jacket .
My other go to basics look would be a super big knitted jumper and flat ankle boots. I live in this sort of look at the weekend normally and find even though it’s casual, a skinny jean, knit and ankle boot outfit still looks stylish and like you’ve made effort … in an effortless kind of way :) Which after all is the ultimate look.
Tonight I’m off to see Girls Aloud at the 02, I’m fortunate enough that i’m being taken on a work jolly so we have a box with lots of food and drink to look forward to as well. I really can’t wait for the night – it’s going to be a big girly sing along fest :) I’m wearing this outfit today, perfect for the work – night out transition and super comfy too.
What do you think of my casual basics look? What’s your go to ‘easy’ look, are you a jeans and converse girl at heart?
