Outfit

Just An Oasis

March 14, 2013

I CANNOT STOP WEARING THIS DRESS. It’s becoming an issue, really it is. It’s just so darned versatile and comfy. I could wear it every day and it still look different. Brilliance, I tell you, Pure brilliance.
So I know I featured this dress on my blog on Monday (yes, i’m becoming a repetitive old fart), but I wanted to share this outfit too, as I really have been wearing this dress so much but all looks styled quite differently. I’ve donned the dress on its own, I’ve styled it with my tweed jacket and tan ankle boots (here) but for today’s post I wanted to show you how I wore this quite recently for a more evening look.

. ASOS Smock Dress £38 . Zara Leopard Ankle Boots £80 . Anthropologie Hat £40 .
. Topshop Leather Jacket (old) .

I find that these leopard ankle boots (another obsession of mine) go with everything and also really spice up any look for a bit of a glam twist. They give the outfit a bit of pop and take the simple navy dress up a notch making it a far more ‘evening’ outfit. My leather jacket was the natural addition to this, i wanted to give the dress a bit of a rougher style, nothing to prissy, and so the jacket goes with the boots perfectly to give it that edge. As for the hat … what can I say, I just can’t get it off my head. It’s true love.

Also, Just a quick end note to say last nights French Connection event was just awesome. Met some fab people and smoozied with lots of celebs. I’d met a couple of them before (Laura Whitmore and Pixi Lott) so was good to say hello again. George Lamb and MIC Proudlock were really nice and very down to earth which is nice to see. Anyway – post to come on Saturday so stay tuned.

What do you think of this outfit and today’s styling of my smock dress? How would you wear this dress and which has been your favourite look so far?

i love the fact that you are styling this dress in so many different ways. its refreshing to see that and so much more inspiring than a blogger who seems to have a brand new outfit for every single post.
