So just incase you didn’t notice, it was only bladdy sunny yesterday, yes thats right, big yellow in the sky decided to raise his cheeky head and give us a little glimmer of hope. Naturally I jumped to the occasion like a true brit and immediately grabbed a semi-spring like outfit for the day.
I really like this maxi dress for an easy summer / spring outfit. The full length makes it an easy transition from jeans and fluffy socks, but still makes it feel like you’re embracing the warmer weather. The black makes it really understated too … so no ‘are you crazy’ looks for embracing something other than a huge coat, scarf and hats. It’s also super comfy too, making it an easy winner in my books.

I styled the dress with my trusty fedora and britstitch satchel – probably my two favourite accessories of the moment. They go perfectly with the dress and give the look a bit of an edge. The final accessory which is a brand new one to my collection is my gorgeous Taara Jewellery necklace – a real statement piece with gorgeous colour tones and gold chain detailing. I love this necklace as it gives a little twist on the usual fairly simple gold chain necklaces I wear. Taara is an NYC based designer and I love that her designs mirror the NYC cultures, mixing the classiness of the upper East side with the down town edginess of Greenwich & The Lower East Side … I like to think my style is a bit of a mix like this too :)
I can’t believe today is the last day of my ‘time off’ before I start my new job tomorrow morning. Eek. Wish me luck.
