Every now and then you find a new item you just fall in love with, and this outfit happens to include two items i’ve totally fallen in love with in the last couple of weeks. Two items that are perfect for spring / summer and both items which I can see myself living in (work, weekend, evening). Introducing my new Choies dress and Topshop sandals …
So you’ve probably already gauged by now that i’m head over heels in love with my new sandals, they’ve featured in a number of posts already so for this one, i’ll focus on the other item – my new midi dress. Now despite being a midi avoider for some time, I now appear to be a midi obsessive, with half my wardrobe now being full of midi dresses & skirts. I am officially coveting the midi.

This dress is the latest in my midi collection and is most probably my favourite item yet. It’s from the fashion brand Chicnova and is a real bargain at $45 … i’ve worn this about 4 times since I got it a week or so ago and you wouldn’t believe the amount of compliments this outfit got. A friend of mine has even bought it after seeing me wear it. It’s been a total hit. I love it when you find an outfit that you love, and that other people think looks fab too, an all round winner.
One of the things I love about this midi dress is the fact it looks like a tshirt and skirt (a lot of people mistake it for a two piece). The tshirt element makes the dress look really casual, counterbalancing the quite formal style of the skirt. Making for a really cool outfit. I love the dress styled with a tan leather waist belt and tan accessories. My Topshop sandals and tan Mulberry satchel go perfectly with the dress making the outfit quite relaxed and boho.
