A Spring Affair

This summer one of my best friends is getting married, she’s the first of my friends to take the leap and I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate her day with her. She’s Norwegian, so the exciting thing about her wedding is that its going to be in Norway. My friends and I try and get out to Norway a couple of times a year anyway, but this trip will be extra special and I just can’t wait. Below is what I’m currently planning to wear on her special day …

The dress is a special number from French Connection and  one that I absolutely love. I think its the perfect dress for a summer event, with the nude / pastel pink colourings creating a soft feminine look. I am a huge fan of French Connection and in fact, most of my ‘special occasion’ dresses are French Connection and are items i’ve picked up over the years. I find their dresses amazing quality and timeless, so no matter when you buy it, it’ll always be trendy / stylish. I have a dress I bought for my graduation 5 years ago which I still wear ALL the time now, so I think they’re great investment pieces.

This dress is a really cute, simple but chic dress with a slight skater dress feel and a pretty peter pan collar. It’s definitely a classic so I’m hoping I’ll get lots more wear out of it (It’s even something i’d wear to work). For this look, and for the wedding, I’m wearing it with my Daniel Footwear tan ‘Unforgettable’ sandals which are so bloomin’ lush – I think they’re really sophisticated and the perfect summer wedge. They go perfectly with the dress and aren’t too OTT – they’re also perfect for a summer wedding and will mean no ‘grass vs stiletto’ drama!!
