. DENIM PENNY DRESS .
Today’s outfit post is a little look from my weekend and features my new boots which I blogged about this week. The outfit is a casual-ish day look, which I planned to wear to see Rihanna, however as you’ll see half way through the pictures … it then decided to pee it down and so an outfit change had to be had.
The dress Is my favourite Motel number, I love this little denim dress, it goes with everything and is so comfy and easy to wear. The boots and glitter socks (from Urban Outfitters) give the dress a little edge and make for something a little different, versus the standard black tights and flat boots I usually wear it with.

I always admire the whole chic and casual smock dress styled with edgy boots look (aka Kate Bosworth / Alexa Chung) but never really feel like I can pull it off. I always feel like the boots need to have a little heel else you look a bit stumpy legged and luckily my new boots are the perfect pair for the job. I deliberately chose a unique colour when I bought these boots, and I love how the burgundy colour is a little different and gives an outfit a little twist.
I finished my outfit off with my vintage tan leather satchel which my family bought me for my birthday a few years ago. It’s my go to festival bag and is actually still covered in mud from Isle of Wight festival last year. This year was the first time in 4 years I’ve not been to IOW, so I had to get the festival spirit channeled into my look somehow :)

I love that dress! I bought some boots similar to those from New Look I think the cut out part makes them a bit more summery! Big fan of this look!
