I thought it was about time I gave my new leather shift dress a little more blog love, given it’s one of my favourite pieces this year so far. Such a unique and original style, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and still absolutely love it now.

The dress is a Topshop number which I picked up a few months ago as a little birthday present to myself. I’d actually wanted it when it came out in the black version last year but held off. When it came out in white I could no longer resist it. It’s a really simple design and made with real leather, making it quite a chic and sophisticated dress.

I’ve worn this dress loads of times since I bought it, even to work with a smart blazer. It’s quite a classy dress given the simple laid back design and I styled the dress here with my (go to) Topshop sandals which gave the look an even more dressy feel. I love that the style of this dress is quite laid back and effortless, something which I seem to be drawn to more and more lately, I find the whole effortless look so chic and so am trying to channel this more myself (e.g. trying to become Sincerely Jules …) .
