. NAVY LEATHER PENCIL SKIRT .

I do love a leather skirt (and dress, and shorts) and since buying my H&M leather pencil skirt last year I’ve become even more obsessed. This navy faux leather number from Lavish Alice is the latest addition to my leather lovin’ wardrobe, and number 2 in the pencil skirt genre.
I’ve been trying to tame my wardrobe back for a little while now, prioritising new items and culling back my spending, but when I saw this little navy pencil skirt on the Lavish Alice website I couldn’t resist whipping it up. First of all I love a good pencil skirt, let alone a leather one (well faux leather this time) AND in Navy. I’ve not got any navy skirts and so this was a good reason to give in and add to my clothes hoarding issue.

. Lavish Alice Navy Skirt £34 c/o . Office Ankle Boots . Zara Tee . Anthropologie Hat .
When I was looking for a top to wear this skirt with I randomly came across this super super old print tshirt from Zara which I think I picked up about 2 or 3 years ago to wear to IOW festival. It’s sadly not got much wear since that festival (i’m terrible for forgetting about items in my wardrobe), so finding this little gem was like getting a brand new tee. I really love a smart / structured bottom half, styled with a casual laid back top half and so instantly wanted to team the top and skirt together to create a kind of laid back office look (a bit like I did with my leather skirt here and here).
The finishing touch was my new boots, for no reason other than I FREAKIN LOVE THEM. I’m not even sure they go, but I wanted to wear them either way.
What do you think of my new faux leather pencil skirt? How would you wear a skirt like this?

Great look Mel, I tend to stay clear of leather. The boots goes really well.
