A MIDSUMMER NIGHT DREAM

July 11, 2013

. WINTER GARDEN DINNER PARTY .

There’s something so lovely about having a cosy night in with your closest friends and family, whipping up a taste sensation and sipping on some yummy fizz. Going out doesn’t have the same appeal it used to when I was younger, for me, it’s no longer about clubs and bars on a Saturday night, but dinner do’s, garden parties, and chilled out drinks. So this weekend my friends and I did just that …
Luckily enough moneysupermarket are on the same wave length and are currently hosting a competition encouraging all us bloggers to share our ‘big night in’. Everyone has £50 to host their night  and every blogger is also entered into a prize draw to win £500 if you share your ‘big night in’.  You can find out all the details and enter here.
. Home made pimms with all the trimmings .
. Freshly prepped chicken Skewers for the barbie .
. Tasty garden salads and home made guacamole .
. Cosy candles and a nice big BBQ on the go .
. Fizz and Summer Drinks .
On Friday night my friends and I hit the supermarket, got ourselves a big family size trolly, and rallied round the isles grabbing all the summer essentials. The sun was out making it a no brainer to have a barbie, we whipped up a little feast of chicken skewers, tasty steak burgers burgers and my favourite, chipolota’s. We added some home made salads to the mix and finished the lot off with some tasty summer drinks – Pimms and Champers.

What do you think of my big night in? What would you do if you had £50 to enjoy a night at home with your nearest and dearest?

Oh my, this looks like such a delicious feast! Your friends and family are lucky to have you around! I love hosting dinner parties/BBQ’S with my girlfriends, and I agree, it is much more fun and creative than partying! I love your beautiful food photography and can’t wait to follow your blog!
