. DENIM PLAYSUIT .
This weekend was a super fun one for me, I had a real girly knee’s up celebrating one of my best friends last few days as a singleton (she’s getting married in August). Me and my friends planned a real ‘Brit’ fueled weekend to celebrate this, ranging from a pimms filled garden party, picnics in the sunshine, a special dinner date and some tasty afternoon tea. It was an amazing weekend and i’ll be sharing some pics over the next few days :)
Whilst most hen do’s are wild party themed nights out, we opted for a more sophisticated weekend. A part of this was a garden party we threw as a surprise on the Friday night. Including a tasty barbecue and plenty of fizz (more to come on this tomorrow). We had the best time and interestingly it seems that a lot of people are on the same wave length with the whole night in theme. Ladbrokes Bingo has actually recently released some survey results showing that 80% of correspondents think that a girls night in is the best way to have a laugh, and 70% said they preferred a night in to a night out.

On the Saturday day time we decided to make the most of the weather and our surroundings and headed to Kew Gardens for a picnic. We bought some serious British picnic goodies … think strawberries and cream, pimms, and added some home made treats. This is the outfit I wore for the occasion, the weather was absolutely gorgeous and so I opted for a easy going summer style outfit, for comfort and maximum tanning exposure.
This play suit is a really cute number I got from Persunmall last week. It’s spot on for summer days out and I love the worn denim design. Playsuits make for really good summer outfits I find, not only are they comfy and can keep you cool, you also have free reign to have fun in them and maintain your modesty (no accidental but flashing when playing rounders or Frisbee).

What a perfect little Summer outfit Mel, who doesn’t love a denim playsuit! I must say I’d prefer something similar for my hen party, I’d hate something really tacky and brash.

I can’t stand the whole hen party mentality, but then I’m not a drinker and so I guess a fun night for me is not drinking as much as possible and making a fool of myself. I’d much rather have a night in to socialise with my friends, or to go somewhere classy where you can actually have a conversation.
