JEANOGRAPHY; HOME STYLIST

July 27, 2013

. JEANOGRAPHY .

New  companies appear all the time, offering new ways to shop, buy, style or just browse your favourite brands and high street stores. I must say I don’t usually jump on these bandwagons and usually stick to high street shopping or ordering online from my trusted brands. However I’ve recently experienced the wonders of Jeanography, and I must admit, this brand is going to be here to stay. A pure revolution in jeans shopping, I for one, am sold!!

So first up here’s how it works. You go online and browse a selection of jeans … categorised either by brand, style, size or fit, you can search through the site which ever way best pleases you. Personally for me, it was style (skinny jeans). However it’s not merely an aggregation of some of the worlds top fashion brands  (Citizens of Humanity, 7 For All Mankind, Hudson, James Jeans etc), it’s also an online styling system. Let me elaborate …
First First Time is Jeanography’s online styling system, allowing you the chance to find jeans recommended for your shape, size, style, which you can then style and try at home in the comfort of your own bedroom (no stuffy, overheated, stress-enducing changing rooms), to see which of your selection are THE perfect pair for you.
You simply have to enter in some basic details about yourself, your size in your favourite fitting jeans (to give them a benchmark of how you’ll compare versus each brand they stock), the bits of yourself you like / dislike (e.g. I think i have a big bum type thing). The software then gives you tips on which jeans fit your match, or simply tells you how the jeans you’re picking would fit you, and what size would be your ‘best fit’ – GENIUS. You then select 3 pairs which are sent to you free of charge to try on, pick your favourite, and return the rest (free of charge).
Not merely this, a stylist will give you a quick call once you’ve made your order to check you’re happy and to make sure you’ve picked the right fits / shapes / sizes based on their knowledge of the brands. Yes, this is seriously good right!!

So i recently got to test drive this service and I have to say, from start to finish it was a real pleasure. There was absolutely no pain  involved, which for jean shopping (I don’t know about you) but for me, was a first. I personally opted for 3 pairs of skinnies, a Citizens of Humanity black pair (which i’d actually seen before and admired from afar), a 7 for all mankind navy pair, and also a James Jeans slate pair (I’d not heard of this brand before).

After them package arriving, NEXT DAY DELIVERY, I then spent the evening trying on each pair, modelling them in front of Jase, picking the best fitting and my favourite.
The citizens of humanity pair were the absolute winner. They fitted like a dream and were such a nice pair of jeans. Fortunately for me, Jeanography kindly gifted me this pair which left me totally over the moon. BUT … it didn’t end there. I was so impressed with the service and the jeans I’d selected that I then decided I actually wanted to keep another pair too (also give the company some business as it truly was such a good service). So given payday just occurred, i decided to treat myself to the slate James Jeans – i loved the colour and the fit and it’s not every day you find TWO perfect pairs of jeans right!!
So there you go, a revolution in jeans shopping and a happy girl who now owns TWO pairs of perfect fitting jeans. Stress free and feeling rather smug in fact.
If you are like me and really find jeans shopping a terrible and painful experience then I truly do recommend giving Jeanography a go, it’s a superb service and a great partnership with the quality brands it represents. I know where i’ll be buying my jeans from now on, i’ve already converted my dad and boyfriend too.Have you ever used Jeanography before? How do you cope with jeans shopping, do you have any favourite brands you stick to?

What a fantastic company, jeans are an actual nightmare to buy so this sounds like a simple but innovative service. Plus I love that you can try everything on in the comfort of your own home. Fab choices Mel!
