Given it’s Halloween I thought for today’s outfit i’d share a dark, grunge themed look. I mean, it’s no Halloween outfit, but more on topic than a dainty girly look right? So if you’re not out in fancy dress tonight or this weekend and want something a lot more ‘Halloween’ subtle for a night out … here’s my proposal.

I’ll be heading on holiday this weekend so won’t be out celebrating Halloween in full, but I am going for a dinner on Friday night with my dad and boyfriend and naturally want to dress up for the occasion. This kind of look is an easy of way of dressing for the season whilst maintaining a suitable dressy style.

This outfit is also uber simple, I mean a shift LBD and some cute ankle boots. It’s hard to go wrong really. I love spicing up an LBD with different textures, and with leather being my favourite thing of late, this dress hits all the marks for me. I have a similar real leather version from Topshop in white which I picked up this Summer, but this black version is an easy way to take the style into Winter.

Boots wise, please welcome the new addition to my shoe family, a Stylistpick number which arrived this week! I am head over heels with buckle ankle boots right now, you’ll no doubt have noticed my vast collection (i’ve even bought my Office ones in black suede too), this chic Stylistpick pair are the latest addition and perfect for winter. They’re dressy enough to smarten up a look and go perfectly with a simple dress or skinny jean look!
