. SHEARLING GILET & BELTED FEDORA .
Just before leaving Bristol Jase and I took a stroll along the harbour with his family to burn off some holiday calories and also to just get out into the crisp winter air (in between the bouts of serious rainfall we’ve had this Christmas). We had a cheeky lunch stop half way (so much for burning off holiday Lbs) and I took the opportunity to force Jase to take some outfit pics for my blog.
. Topshop Leather Trousers & Clutch Bag . Zara Suede Gilet . Pure Collection Cashmere Jumper .
. Office Ankle Boots . Accessorize Fedora .
These pics were taken pre my new camera (with my original 550D and F1.4 Lens), but they do just show how having a fab back drop and someone to take some pictures can make a real difference to the way your images look. I wish mine could always be so picturesque and interestingly shot. Often i’m stuck with my tripod at 7am pre work trying to get some speedy snaps of said outfit, which not only means I’m half asleep in the photos with bags the size of Louis Vuitton, but also means i’m bombarded with commuters walking up my road to the station (not ideal for strutting your stuff). My resolution and plan for my blog in 2014 and beyond is to try and have more posts like this, far easier said than done given my job etc, but perhaps I need to start thinking about quality over quantity (i’m not sold on ditching my every day posts yet, but I am very keen to keep the quality high – especially now I have my new Canon 5D Mark III to play with). Seeking that balance is going to be my mission.
Anyway back to the outfit … simple and comfortable was the order for the day. Leather trousers & a cosy boyfriend jumper (an alternative styling to how I wore it here). Finished off with my suede gilet & my trusty fedora – which, as suspected, has not left my head since Christmas eve.
Whats your thoughts on my blogging resolution, i’d love to get your input & here what you like to see and read?

The photos are so lovely! And I totally know what you mean about taking photos with people walking around . . . it’s always so awkward! But your photos are always great, so if you’re uncomfortable, it doesn’t show. Good luck on your blog resolution. :)
