THE ULTIMATE COMBINATION

One of my most pleasing experiences when producing content for my blog is getting a set of outfit pictures which I just absolutely love. It’s a feeling which I don’t get every day so when I do, I feel super excited to share it with you on my blog. I know the factors which make my favourite images, a combination of location, lighting and of course outfit, but all three factors are often hard to combine for every outfit post when I’m juggling my time between work, blog, life, i simply don’t have the time or resource to get every outfit post in a fabulous location in the peak of the days sunlight. That’s why my 5 day break to France last week was so perfect, not only for some relaxation and fun with my family, but also a perfect opportunity to capture some looks for my blog in some beautiful locations.

This outfit is something I wore for a day trip in St Malo, the sun was absolutely beaming & as we parked on the seafront I instantly wanted to explore the rocks and little island while the tide was out and check out the views back over the town. We found this perfect little spot perched upon the rocks to capture some pics and the location and the lighting combination were absolutely perfect. We also took a couple whilst strolling back across the beach, the bright sand & blue seas proving a faultless backdrop. If only every outfit post on mediamarmalade could be in a setting like this.

Now of course it’s not all about the location, it’s the look too. As the sun was gracing us I decided to pop on my favourite little leather mini from Reiss & teamed it with my French Connection breton top which I picked up before I went away. I absolutely loved the combo together & finished things off with my KG ankle boots (definitely not the most appropriate for rock climbing and beach strolling I can confirm) and my trusty ASOS fedora (also totally inappropriate as the wind kept blowing it off my head).
