. DUNE OVER THE KNEE BOOTS .
Guess who has been shopping again, me, duh! I made myself a promise that in 2015 I would buy no more than 2 items a month, so far i’ve bought 1. Whistles Loafers, 2. Dune Over The Knee Boots, 3. ASOS Skirt, 4. ASOS Shirt, 5. ASOS Peg Leg Trousers (so cool), 6. Topshop tee, 7. A new camera remote, 8. my memory stops there (and of course isn’t counting the Reiss / Zara spree I had after Christmas, EEK). So yes, my resolution isn’t going well, and we’re only on day 13 (crikey that really is bad isn’t it?)! Anyway the perks of breaking my new resolution is that I’ve got some new shoes to debut today … hooray!

. DUNE OVER THE KNEE BOOTS (SIMILAR BELO) . ZARA TEXTURED A LINE SKIRT . TOPSHOP BLACK TEE . CELINE NANO . ASOS FEDORA .

Over the knee boots are something i’ve never really considered as part of my style repertoire, I had a fab pair of Daniel Footwear over the knee leather booties which I got some good wear out of a couple of years ago, but since then sort of forgot about the trend, and semi parked it as a ‘mum’ trend! However, my perceptions have been shifted 180, and I take back all ‘mum comments’, and thats all thanks to a certain Stuart Weitzman and his impeccably fabulous collection of over the knee suede boots. The 5050 and the Reverse stole my heart on first sight and from the moment I discovered them at the beginning of this month i’ve been on a mini hunt to get myself a pair (or in fact something similar)! Given my January resolution, and my recent Reiss spree (and therefore extreme bank account woes) I decided that a £450 boot would be a little extravagant (fair I think), so went on the hight street hunt for a pair of boots to tide me over until I win the lottery! These Dune boots were £149 and almost identical to the Weitzman design, my only mini reservation is that they don’t fit my ankle quite as tightly as i’d have hoped, but given they were the last boot available (in the whole of the UK it would seem) panic kicked in and I quickly purchased (standard shopping routine, oh my god, there’s only 1 left, well I must buy it right now, just in case)!
Anyway, I love them! So a good purchase I feel! I wore them this weekend styled with my Zara textured A line skirt, a simple black tee (purchase 6 on the aforementioned list) and my ASOS fedora (which is annoyingly totally out of shape now)! The look was super simple, but kinda worked! The all black was quite impactful, especially against the white walled back drop!
What do you think of my new booties? Are you a serious shopaholic like me, please make me feel better by saying yes!

I am a big fan of this look, I really like wearing black – especially as then any bright colour you do wear stands out more, even if it’s just your nail varnish or lipstick.
