Outfit

IN THE NAVY

January 14, 2015

. NAVY FEDORA SKIRT & SWEAT .

Well moving swiftly on from yesterdays all black ensemble, today it’s all about the navy. An undeliberate move I should clarify, but one that nonetheless is happening!! Its not often that I pull off a colour coordinated outfit, let alone two utterly matchy matchy looks in two days! The skirt and sweater ensemble i’ve always coveted, the optimum mix of chic and comfy which is pretty much always what i’m looking for!

. ZARA NAVY SKIRT . COS NAVY SWEATER . REISS ZELDA FEDORA . CELINE NANO . ALDO ALEWEIL BOOTS .
. SHOP A SIMILAR LOOK BELOW .
This skirt is actually a little sales bargain I picked up in the Zara sale (which I naughtily trawled through on Christmas day when it went live) and actually is an item i’ve been eyeing up for a little while. The skirt was originally part of a matching skirt & sweater duo which if you watch Good Morning Britain each morning (ahem, guilty pleasure announced) you may have noticed Laura Joblin (the weather girl) wearing the red co-ord last week (in fact, it was the day I was at ITV studios and briefly met the presenters). Needless to say our great taste in clothing was a great bonding moment. Anyway, back to the outfit. New Skirt, tick. So I decided not to buy the set co-ord as I thought this Cos sweater would work perfectly and actually provide a little texture contrast (look at me sounding all tech). My Reiss Zelda fedora was clearly made for this outfit, right?

Are you a good colour coordinator, or like me are you a bit hit & miss? What do you think of this all navy ensemble?

I love the skirt and I love the fedora! Really want one of my own, I have more of a semi-bowler style but I always forget to wear it.

The shape of the skirt is so pretty! I also love that you’ve styled navy pieces with black tights, boots and bag – I think they look great together and don’t understand the ‘rule’ that navy and black shouldn’t be worn together.

I love navy, it just works and with blue as my fabe colour, I try to wear it as much as I can! The fedora, as per, is on point – I need to find on that suits me!
