ASPINAL BUCKLE BAG

Aspinal Buckle Bag

. ASPINAL OF LONDON BUCKLE BAG IN NAVY NUBUCK .

It feels like an awful long time since I dedicated a post to sharing a new purchase or a little luxury treat, but given a little something extra special has joined my bag collection this week, I thought it only right I give it a debut today!

For a number of years I’ve debated buying an Aspinal bag, I absolutely love their navy Marylebone tote and have been longing for the ‘tech’ version (with phone charger built in) for about a year now, i’ve also spent many a shopping trip trying on the Manhattan clutch and the Sofia Bag in Navy Nubuck too. The navy collection has always caught my eye, and it seemed a little unjust that I hadn’t given in and bought myself an Aspinal number, particularly considering how long i’d been thinking about it.

Luxury handbags have always been my weakness, ever since I was about 18 years old when I got my first Mulberry bag (my collection is now at 6 bags) i’ve been obsessed, forever saving any money I can to buy myself a new little designer number. My most recent treats of course being my Celine Nano & my Phillip Lim Pashli, both of which I treated myself to after achieving something (my promotion & a great blog partnership). I always like to tie my luxury buys into celebrating achievements, it makes them all the more special & most my Mulberry bags were also bought as treats after a promotion or pay rise.

Anyway … long story short, I decided I should give in and treat myself to a little Aspinal number. I had a £250 Christmas voucher which I hadn’t yet spent and decided to put this towards getting myself the bag! Because I already have a number of tote or ‘day bags’, I decided to treat myself to more of an evening number & the navy suede buckle bag just ticked all the boxes.

It arrived in the post yesterday and it’s already taken pride of place over my shoulder. It’s a gorgeous little number, the suede & navy colour really give it a little extra vavavooom & make it the perfect special occasion bag!

The Chanel Boy is still top of my list, but the price tag attached means this treat would need a serious reason to celebrate. One day …

I love the sleek nature of the bag, great for quick day trips where you need minimal in your bag – love the Navy too!
