. MAN REPELLER | MOM JEANS .
Mom jeans are the one item in my wardrobe that genuinely could be classified as a Man Repeller. It’s an item that all the men in my life hate, and vocalise their hate for regularly. Unflattering, weird fit & just not right on me. BUT, it’s one of the items in my wardrobe that I really love wearing. I know they don’t look brilliant on me, I know they make my ass look big & they don’t flatter my legs, but for some reason I just love wearing them. I love the cut & the laid back vibes mom jeans give a look. I would love to look like the skinny fashionista’s that I fill my pinterest board with (have a little browse here) … their long lean legs rock the mom jean far better than I do. But rather than deter me, it spurs me on to keep trying. In hope that one day I may look as good as them in my Mom jeans.

When it comes to styling MOM jeans, my top tips (as inspired by the pinterest pro’s) are as follows; Keep things casual. Mom jeans are meant to look relaxed & slightly oversized, so styling wise it’s best to follow this theme. On that point I think Mom jeans look best with Oversized Tops, whether it’s a loose white t-shirt, a casual shirt or simply a big cropped jumper. The high waist nature of the mom jeans means they look great with cropped lengths or tucked in tops. The other great thing about the Mom jeans is of course the leg length and cut, showing that little bit of ankle adds a bold touch to the look. I think Mom jeans are best styled with bare ankles, so ankle boots, trainers or even pumps (add a heel for a chic evening look) look great teamed with the denim cut leg. Most importantly in my opinion, is just to look comfortable … the mom jeans is a laid back denim, and so you must embrace this to truly rock the look!
I styled my MOM jeans with an oversized ASOS striped shirt, my last season crocodile leather Kurt Geiger boots, and my Zara tweed jacket thrown on top. Simple, understated, and comfortable.
Are you a Mom jeans fan? How do you style the trend?

Love the way you styled your MOM jeans! That blazer is really gorgeous. I tend to wear mind with a roll neck jumper at the moment.
