BACK TO THE CLASSIC

Today I arrived back in the UK, and whilst we landed at 7am with the whole day ahead of us, the jet lag was far too much for me, and i’ve spent the most of the day napping on the sofa.i’ve certainly got worse at this jet lag game as i’ve got older. Tomorrow i’m back to work, and given when I wake up at 7am to start my day it will be 2am back in NYC, i’ll be keeping things simple and classic.

For me, an everyday simple style consists of a good fitting pair of skinny jeans (these Whistles ones are new, and I love how they tailor their denim in Whistles, it’s a great fit for me), a classic boyfriend shirt (the more oversized and not tailored the better in my opinion), a good pair of quality boots & a classic longline coat. My Reiss Marley boots were a rather spontaneous purchase a few months back, but such a great investment boot & perfect to smarten up a look or give an evening dress a little edge.

I might channel this kind of look for my work Christmas party tomorrow, I’m in desperate need of an outfit & sartorial inspiration – any recommendations let me know?
