The Comfort Versus Style Debate Resolved

A few weeks ago my boyfriend asked me if I have ever thought to visit a stylist? Bloody cheek. But I get his point, I’m not the best at wearing clothes or style that flatter my body shape, I often go for styles I love rather than styles that suit, and more often than not my colour coordination could be forgiven for being taken as a result of me being colour blind. I’m not by the way. I just fundamentally disregard all colour rules.

Despite the fact I run a fashion blog, my boyfriend probably does have a point. Let’s take my current favourite ensemble for example. A merino wool jumper dress, which in another life is a snuggly dressing gown and hot water bottle, bought oversized and worn to death and back. Nothing to highlight my waist (Probably my bodies only redeeming character right now), nothing to flatter my leg let alone something to disguise my ass! But yet I adore this jumper dress. It’s a comfort blanket when I’m running a crazy life. In fact I feel like my inner ‘Advanced Style’ is in the making.

In my opinion, it’s the perfect solution to the comfort and style struggle we all face daily.

Jokes aside I covet the jumper dress a lot. It’s a man repeller for sure. But who cares. It’s comfy, stylish and literally feels like you’ve just rolled out of bed all day long. Which if we’re honest with ourselves, is what really matters right.  The sacrifice of style and comfort is over people.  This merino wool number is a new buy from ASOS but I’ve pulled together a few of my favourites on the high street for you above, just in case I can tempt you to the dark side. Trust me, it’s good.
