LET’S CATCH UP
First things first, i’m sorry for the unexpected absence on the blog this summer, life has got a little busy and in a good way for once. If you follow me on instagram then you’ll know already i’ve spent the last month between the US, New York and most recently Colorado with work, and now i’m firmly back on UK soil for all of a couple of days before my summer holidays kick off. Three weeks of sunshine in Greece awaits and I am so exited for some down time, time to catch up on my blog and to spend some time with Jase.
Often blogging hiatus’s come when you need a little time off the net, or you’re struggling to capture content due to weather or schedules, but this time around it’s none of those reasons, if anything I actually have a ton of content, photos and ideas to share with you all, i’ve just simply not had the time to sit down with my laptop and just write … (and organise my photos, that takes A LOT of time). But this weekend for the first time in months I’m not flying, exploring another city, prepping for meetings or working my weekend, i’m ust sat on my couch with Sex and the city playing, and just like magic the Bradshaw affect has taken place and inspiration to write has returned. Finally.
I’ve got loads of travel content in the pipeline as well as a few travel tips posts which I hope you’ll enjoy (including addressing the number one question i’ve had this last month, ‘Who’s taking all your photos when you’re travelling alone with work?’), but for today I wanted to keep things informal, casual and just a catch up for you and I. And what better way to do it than back to my roots with a very low key outfit post. What this blog started with.
WHAT I’M WEARING
. TOPSHOP CULOTTES & CAMISOLE . GUCCI MARMONT .
These trousers were an emergency purchase before I headed up the Rockafella Centre in NYC a few weeks back. I wanted to pop on something different after a full day working and didn’t have time to go back to my hotel. It’s not very original (OR COST EFFECTIVE!!) to head to a UK shop when you’re shopping in another city, but I spotted these trousers through the window in Topshop and knew that I wanted them right away. I hadn’t seen them in the UK and they fitted like a glove.
I’ve not shopped in Topshop for years as I often find the sizing and styles for teens rather than someone in their late twenties and thirties, but I loved both this cami and culottes when I saw them and purchased without a second thought. And as is always the case with a good spontaneous purchase, i’ve lived in them since, for work, travelling in Colorado, even weekend wear teamed with a casual tee.
So whilst they’re currently getting crumpled as i’ve snuggled up on the sofa to write this little note to you, here’s a throw back to when I wore them earlier this week during my trip to Colorado.
More to come x
